about

The song tells the story from the view of one of the earliest believers - 19 Letters of the Living - Siyyid Husayn Yazdi, the seventh letter, who was also the Bab's Amanuensis. He shared imprisonment with the Báb in Chiriq and Mahkú and In the story of the Báb's execution, he is the secretary that the Báb spoke to before being taken away to be shot. In the song Siyyid Husayn Yazdi remembers the time being imprisoned together with the Báb, after he was executed. He opens his heart and talks about his feelings, finally crying out and witnessing the power of the Báb's light...

The song has a metaphoric meaning, that is closely related to the power of love and faith, which transcends this material world. Often in life, it's not before hardships, pain and sorrow, that we become alive in our feelings and finally become conscious about a new truth.

lyrics

LYRICS:

What it’s like to be by your side
Words will always fail to describe
Like a moth drawn to the flames
My heart was bound to yours in chains

Between the cold and damp stones we sat
Imprisoned by the fears of clergy men
Tough they tried to hide you away
Your light shined forth until this day

Through these walls
I still hear
I still hear your voice
I still hear your voice

I remember how words came down
Like a waterfall hits the ground
I was strucked by this grace
Forgot about time and space

And when they finally realized
There is no back door from your light
They tried to blow your life away
the sky was burning on that day

Through this dark
I still see
I still see your light
I still see your light

Through these tears
I can feel
I can feel your heart
I can feel your heart
